We are not a typical agency. With a focus on training and quality of care, we prioritize meeting each home’s needs with a tailored and experienced roster of staff.

Ensuring worker quality

Worker quality is our top priority. We ensure verified credentials and employment history, up-to-date required training, documentation compliance, only staff who’ve completed orientation at your home can receive shift offers, and ongoing performance tracking with feedback from your team. We also have a formal dispute resolution process, but if you prefer not to work with a specific worker again due to an incident or concern, we will remove them from your facility’s roster - no questions asked.

Recruiting our workers

We recruit through our exclusive partnership with SEIU Healthcare, accessing a province-wide pool of healthcare professionals. All workers must meet the following to be eligible:

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in the relevant healthcare sector (Average is 4-5 years)

  • Verified employment history

  • Up-to-date MOLTC or ORCA training

  • Compliant with documentation requirements (VSC, TB testing, etc.)

How the technology works

Once your team is onboarded, you’ll be able to post shifts directly in the WorkersFirst portal.
Only workers who have completed your home-specific orientation will receive shift posting notifications, allowing them to accept shifts instantly. This system eliminates back-and-forth communication and helps fill shifts within minutes. Once the shift is filled, access live tracking, and a seamless post-shift process with access to all shift records at all times.
